Former “Paranormal State” star Ryan Buell has been arrested in South Carolina. Buell was arrested on September 18 and is currently being held in the Florence County Jail on a detainer from Centre County, Pennsylvania for felony theft charges.
On August 25, Buell was arrested in Pennsylvania by the State College Police Department and charged with two third degree felonies and a first degree misdemeanor, for Theft of Leased Property, Receiving Stolen Property, and Theft of Services. After posting bail, Buell later fled to South Carolina where he was arrested on a warrant and is awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
Yesterday, Buell’s mother made a plea to his fans to stop helping him. Shelly Bonavita Lundberg wrote an open letter to the “Paranormal State” star’s fans on Facebook asking them not to send her son money.
It is unclear at this time if Buell is fighting extradition from South Carolina back to Pennsylvania. Buell can sit up to 30 to 90 days in jail on the detainer depending if he signs the extradition waiver or not.
